Summer Program

The Mars summer program is an intense one-month international, interdisciplinary program for graduates, young professionals, and executives to transition careers, fortify passions, and to make an impact in human history on Mars. We plan to make a decision about the location of the 2021 summer program by September.

Program Schedule

MarsU shall initially be able to support around three branches, based from the demand of interested students. Applicants rank their branches of studies in their online application. After acceptance, students find out which branch they are accepted into and their schedule, tailored to individual interests.

The Mars summer program will be segmented into lectures, workshops, seminars, and student activities. Towards the end, a student teaching exchange and team project brings hands on learning to jump start your Mars passion and career

Mars Desert Reseqrch Station


Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS) is a Mars analog station located in the desert outside of Hanksville, Utah. MDRS was established by the Mars Society to better educate researchers, students and, the general public about how humans can survive on Mars.  After the summer program, students may choose to participate in a week-long simulation at MDRS to experience Mars analog missions OR to shadow colleagues for one week at local space organization(s).

Students benefit a trusted environment to share bold ideas and one on one networking opportunities with leading entrepreneurs, executives, and astronauts.

 Each lab applies theories learned in the classroom to the practice of solving the most challenging problems on Mars.

​

With small to medium sized classrooms, we offer an experience in a truly immersive environment with the next generation of Mars engineers and settlers.

​

Tuition cost is still under development. The fees will be reasonably priced and will likely cover program curriculum and dorming. Insurance is not included. Payment must be made in U.S. dollars.

Financial Aid

MarsU will soon submit the application to be recognized by the Department of Education and registered and licensed to participate in the U.S. Federal Direct Loan Program. Payment plans can be arranged on a case-by-case basis.

 

With the support from our partners and sponsors, we plan to provide scholarships for exemplary students to cover the tuition costs.We recommend that applicants undertake their own fundraising efforts to increase their chances to receive a scholarship. Please do not contact MarsU Sponsors directly.

Summer Program

The Mars Summer Program (MSP) is an intense five-week multidisciplinary certificate-based program for undergraduates, graduates, and young professionals to make an impact on Mars. 

 

The Summer Program will take place in June 2022 and provides a detailed technical overview of the science, technologies, and post-arrival activities on the Martian surface.

MarsU shall initially be able to support around three areas of study, based from the demand of interested students. Applicants rank their areas of studies in their online application. After acceptance, students enroll in four courses: three courses from areas of study and Mars 101.

The Program will be segmented into lectures, workshops, seminars, and student activities. Toward the end, a student teaching exchange and team project brings hands on learning to jump start your passion and career
