Analogue & Research in the Atacama Desert

Lead research and experience the Atacama Desert through immersive 2CR Program. Learn and apply scientific and technological needs and exploration strategies, test sampling, Geochemistry, biology, and more.  The Course offers 2-Direct Credits on Undergraduate/Graduate-level. In backpacking through remote areas of Chile with Faculty, explore desert, salt flats, volcanoes, geysers and hot springs in extreme environments similar to Mars and other worlds to advance life on Earth and beyond.

Cohort is immersed in a blend of online before and after onsite to prepare and reflect on research and data analysis. The Course is designed to fit the schedule of students during Spring break and toward young professionals.Attendance for most lectures and activities on-site is mandatory to receive Certificate.
