Mars University (MarsU) is an international academic and research organization that is the first school on Earth dedicated to making life multi-planetary. Our mission to unite students, researchers, and professionals in a multidisciplinary curriculum, to settle humans on planet Mars. MarsU plans to design and co-host our first annual  Certificate Program in Mars Settlement and Exploration.

 

The purpose of the Student Ambassador Centre is a central hub and core group of interested students, alumni, and individuals that support the development of higher education about Mars and the multiplanetary community. As an Ambassador, you are responsible for developing and promoting MarsU events, academic programs, research, important updates, and other information to your region of interest. In sharing information with potential students, you are also the local point of contact and student liaison with MarsU staff, faculty, and greater space community.

Responsibilities

  • Become knowledgeable about the University's academic programs

  • Participate in monthly Ambassadors meetings and Founders meetings

  • Promote the programs, online events, and education locally and in your region of interest

  • Assist potential applicants and students in answering questions about the Program and MarsU

  • Enable greater diversity, people of color, and international participation in the student cohort and alumni

  • Help maintain and extend the local presence, marketing, and impact of Mars University

  • Identify and engage with potential local sponsors and partners for student scholarships

  • Advance the exchange of information from MarsU to local, state, and/or national communities

  • Support and contribute to the Founding team of Mars University to become space-faring people

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, science, or a relevant field

  • Familiar with the MarsU team

  • Knowledgeable about education, academia, engineering, Mars settlement, space technology, and exploration

  • Excellent communication, leadership, team building, social, and public speaking skills
